ADULT EDUCATION & ACTIVITIES

Adult Sunday School Classes are as diverse and unique as our Asbury members.  From studying the Old and New Testaments, to informal testimonials, to discussions on daily life from a Christian perspective - we invite you to visit several classes and choose the one that best suits you. (Our staff will be glad to make recommendations). Our Sunday School Classes, held at 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., provide the biblical knowledge we need to deepen our faith, but also allow us to be part of a close knit Christian family.

Enrichment Hour 1: (9:45‑10:45)

Children:

• Room 6 ‑ Nursery (infants up to age 2)

• Room 1 ‑ Nursery (ages 2 & 3)

• Room 2 - Pre K and K

• Room 3 - 1^st and 2^nd Grades

• Room 4 - 3^rd and 4^th Grades

Youth:

• 5^th‑12^th graders may attend Celebration Worship.

Adults:

• Adventure Series: Adult class which is designed to promote spiritual growth. This class offers opportunities to meet new people while studying principles in the Word. Room 9

• Apokaradokia Class: A discussion oriented adult class. Topics include books of the bible and current issues. On going. Meets in Room 15. – Ron Hofer is the leader.

• Cambbell / Good News Class: Adult class devoted to Bible Study using the scriptures as a source of knowledge and inspiration. On‑going. Meets in Room 14.  Art Hutchinson is the leader

• Discover Asbury: A five‑week introductory course is periodically offered for newcomers to Asbury.  These sessions provide information on the United Methodist Church, Asbury's history, and insights relevant to your walk with Christ.  This class is offered periodically, Watch for announcements in the Sunday bulletin,  Jerry and Barbara Cloud are the leaders.

• Open Door Class: Discussion oriented class that looks at social issues through biblical concepts On going. Meets in the Parlor.  Kay Erdman is the leader

• Reaching Out Class: Adult discussion class studying the Scripture for life application today. Meets in Room 11,   Paul Cross is the leader.

• Sing Praises:  Adult class using the Bible to discuss current events. Room 10. Led by David Brown

• Welcome Friends: An adult bible study class open to all. Meets in the library (next door to church office). Lead by Peggy Harris

Enrichment Hour 2: (11:00 ‑ 12:15)

Children

• Nursery for Children 3 and under.

• Children's Worship: This is a special service for all 4year olds through 4^th graders. If you plan to attend either the 11:00 a.m. blended service or Enrichment Hour 2 classes, please take your children to the Sanctuary prior to the 11:00 a.m. blended service and leave them with the leaders in the front pews. The children will be taken to Children's Worship. You may pick them up following your dismissal from class or the worship service.

Youth:

• 5^th ‑ 8^th graders: Meet in the Conference Room with Daniel Anderson at 11:00 a.m.

• 9^th through 12^th grades meet with Pastor Bill in the Student Ministry Center at 11:00 a.m.

Adults:

• Asbury Cafė  A class specifically designed to receive newcomers to the Church, and also current members who do not currently participate in an Enrichment course.  The format is relaxed and non‑intimidating, focusing on an interactive discussion of topics based on each Sunday's Celebration message.  Meets in the Fellowship Hall. Mike Lee is the leader.

• Discover Asbury: A five‑week introductory course is periodically offered for newcomers to Asbury. Watch for announcements in the Sunday bulletin.  Tom and Martha Penney are the leaders.

• More Than Married Sunday School Class:  (Room 15) Building a spiritual foundation is critical to the success of a marriage. This class is for those who have attended the More Than Married Workshop that is held twice per year.

Additional classes may be offered throughout the year and will be announced
 in Sunday bulletins and the Rider.

Other

• Asbury Aerobic Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7:00 and Saturday at 9:00 am in the Fellowship Hall.  Come to our classes and join us in fitness and fun.
