Choir update January 25, 2008:
The Choir is beginning
to prepare for our Easter week services. There will be special music on
Palm Sunday, and Easter Sunday with a special music presentation on
Maundy Thursday. We would love to have you join us. Our music
distribution begins February 6.
Music and singing are joyous and integral parts of Asbury’s worship
services and special programs. There are a variety of opportunities for
persons of all ages to participate in our music ministries.
Chancel Voices-Choir
members meet at 7:45 am to rehearse more familiar traditional music to
be sung at the 8:15 service.
Chancel Choir-The
Chancel Choir provides the 11:00 am Sunday services with a blend of
traditional anthems, popular gospel tunes and special music. Both of
the choirs are open to all who enjoy singing (the ability to read music
is not a requirement). Rehearsal is held every Wednesday at 6:45 pm.
Throughout the year, the Chancel Choir performs concerts for outreach to
the community, beginning with Easter, a 4th of July production,
Gospel Sunday and full scale Christmas extravaganza.
