Each Wednesday during Lent, we meet as a body of believers in the Asbury UMC fellowship hall from 11:50 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It is a time of fellowship, singing, prayer, learning, and enjoying a simple meal in honor of Him. The gatherings are intended to help people open their minds to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to enrich each person there with His overflowing love. Guest speakers offer inspirational messages centered on a Lenten theme.
On the final Wednesday of the Lenten season, the focal point of the gathering is the “Seder Lunch". The communal meal of the Jewish Passover, called the Seder, is a time of rejoicing and celebration of God’s deliverance of the Hebrews from the bondage of slavery in Egypt. Note: What we call our “Seder Lunch” is not a true Seder, but typical food served during the life of Jesus.
