Many Thanks to all who helped with the recent Single Parent Ministry Easter event! We truly appreciated all the donations of items and clothing for the families. Through your tithes and offerings, we also reached out to 50 families with meat packages for Easter. This ministry would not be possible without the tireless devotion of our volunteers. Asbury UMC is most richly blessed by your service to the Lord.

Welcome to Asbury United Methodist Church's Single Parent Ministry Website! We're glad you're here! Our hope is to keep this page updated with current events of this ministry as well at the church.

Our beginning, Single Parent Ministry at Asbury UMC was established in 1996 as an outreach to the community. This ministry is very much volunteer based. Church members as well as single parents assist with every event. There are four major functions throughout the year; an Easter “Ham Dinner” Meat Sale & Oil Change, Back Packs and supplies and a Meat Sale offered in August, a Thanksgiving “Turkey Basket” and Meat Sale, and lastly the “Christmas for Kids” Wish Tree.

Asbury UMC basically offers a Meat Sale three times a year, back packs and school supplies just before school begins, and Christmas gifts for the children of the single parent families. There are currently about 90 families registered with the church with a total of 200 children. For information concerning this ministry or needing information to register a single parent family, please contact the church office at 407-644-5222.
