The Widow’s Might
A New Ministry for
Asbury
The
Widow's Might is now up and running and taking requests for help at
home. We have a little over twenty volunteers so far, with more
signing up weekly. We are inviting those of our fellowship that fall
into the following categories to let us know how we can serve you.
We want to help women or men whose spouse is dead, disabled or
feeble and those who are without a husband through abandonment,
divorce, illness, or prison. We particularly want to help those that
have no family willing or able to help. The title of his ministry is
a little misleading in that our outreach is to more than just those
whose husband is no longer living.
We have people that can help with carpentry repairs,
plumbing, electrical, painting, computer problems, electronic
equipment, bookkeeping-bank statements-bill paying, and
most any type of household job including "Honey-do lists". We want
to help you. Please let the church office know of your needs and we
will respond fairly quickly. If you want to be a part of the serving
end of this ministry email me at
pdschu@cfl.rr.com
with Widow's Ministry in the subject box or use the form
below.
Thank you.
